There's nothing wrong with any of the above, and it all works just fine
for me, so I'm guessing you've got a strange interaction between
different versions of things somewhere.

What versions of Class::DBI, Ima::DBI, and DBI do you have? 
Can you try it with 0.97 - if it hasn't reached your CPAN mirror yet,
you can grab it from http://www.tmtm.com/CPAN/
