does/can db_Main take arguments?

currently we've been overriding db_Main in our dev. env. with our own
particulars and then returning a handle via DBIx::ContextualFetch. 
I'm wondering if we could just call '$self->SUPER::db_Main(@_)'
instead of calling DBIx or Ima directly.
