I just tried with DBD::PG - 1.40 and I also tried the latest DBI -
1.47.  It still works fine for me...  Ima::DBI and
DBIx::ContectualFetch are also the latest version.

(Have you tried the DBI tracing suggestion and have you checked to
make sure your table looks exactly like you expect it to?)
