Lots of people - remember that Google is your friend - search on "Attempt to free unreferenced scalar dbi class" among others.

Since it is unlikely it is a CDBI-specific problem, the obvious question becomes what versions of DBI and DBD drivers are you running?  Try upgrading to the latest of these.  For instance, "Changes in DBI 1.45" mention an instance of this symptom.  (http://search.cpan.org/~timb/DBI-1.48/Changes#Changes_in_DBI_1.45_(svn_rev_480),_6th_October_2004)

No promises, but tripping over old problems is ... distracting.
