No. It seems likely that this is a bug in your code, not Class::DBI since
many many people happily call methods, custom or otherwise, all over the
place without such apparently critical side-effects.

If you believe this to be a real bug in Class::DBI, tickled by some
unusual way in which you are using it, then you need to post a standalone
example that people can run to see exactly what is going on.

The very act of trying to create that test case will probably reveal the
error in your code. At least, that's what always happens to me :-)
