I'm not sure how this can be solved. It has to be https, so the developers
can commit things.
I'd think that svn will be smart enough to use http:// instead of https://
if the top-level was using http:// but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Unless svn guys have a solution for that we better change it to https://
everywhere and have people compile their svn/neon with --with-ssl.
Other ideas are welcome.

Right, but what it has to do with the checkout info? svk is just a client.
