OK, in which case you need to say that an equivalent command line application works fine. Normally that means that Apache (not mod_perl) loads some kind of XML library which your perl code has a conflict with. For example: http://perl.apache.org/docs/1.0/guide/troubleshooting.html#Segfaults_when_using_XML__Parser Also try to search the archives [1] and google for the error you have.
