Seems like the admin is not going to help me.
Anyway, I compiled perl 5.8.6 on two other platforms in the testdrive program and when I try to compile mp2 I get the same error (on these two platforms I didn't get the error with the native perl distribution.) I don't know if this is a problem with perl or the platforms' configurations. Is this check vital for mod_perl to operate? Why mod_perl should resolve 127.0.0.1? Can I skip this check in order to try to test on these platforms and what to do to skip it?
