    G'Day Mike,
    1) No. The bushes are different widths and diameters over the many 
years that land Rovers have been built. Yours will be the same as Series 
II and IIa and possibly Series III SWB models.
    2) The original type bonded rubber bushes are just fine if you 
insert them correctly.
    3) Spring bushes are usually not too difficult. Make yourself an 
extractor/inserter tool. I think one is illustrated in the special tools 
section of the workshop manual. The chassis bushes sadly are often a 
different story. If you are lucky, the rubber is completely buggered and 
the centre steel bush will push out with the help of a hammer and drift. 
It is often neccesary to cut the outer steel bush with a hacksaw and 
then remove it with a hammer and chisel.
