George,
Not 216418 - this belongs to the sedimentor with the round metal control
knob.
The intermediate type had a T handle but this was made of metal.
Presumably this means you need 241223. - The assembly that this fits only
comes into the UK parts books for the 1952 and on models.
I got some fine copper/bronze gauze for one of these from a model
engineering shop who sell the material to make filters for oil pickups of
model steam engines.
Nick.

Subject: SER1 Sediment Bowl Assy's
I find that the screen at the top of my petrol sediment bowl assy is
missing (I also know why it shouldn't be) and I discover that there are
three different assys (218496, 235682, 274323) with three different
screens (216418, 236894, 241223). Can anyone advise how I know which one
I'm chasing? My bowl assy is an AC with the nylon T-handle shutoff and
the application is my '52 Minerva 80" 2.0 liter.
Thanks.
