Looking at the membership map on the S1Garage there's a big gap in members
between the middle east and Indonesia.  I'm sure there have been postings
from Malaysia and Thailand.  Maybe everyone could update themselves on the
map and then just by looking we may know if we have a chance of a Golden
Overland relay.

As for the other way around, I'm not sure I would like to do the Pacific
Ocean leg - There are amphibious Land Rovers but that is one big piece of
ocean!

Thats a great shame the Golden Overland idea seems to have died out,
but it got me thinking.........

Perhaps the members of the garage could complete the trip, not
altogether obviously, but members could do it in stages from country to
country, passing on some sort of Baton or Torch? Maybe we could get
sponsorship from Land Rover and raise some money for charity. Do we have
enough members around Asia for this to work Jeremy, because if not, it
could go round the world the other way and through the US and
Australia...

Just a thought, and maybe too far fetched to work..........but maybe
not?
