SER1 80" for sale in the NW USA

There is an 80" for sale in Washington State.  A posting came up on our
local Land Rover club list.  Below is the information and a link to some
pictures.  Looks like an interesting truck.  I wish I had the room for
another!  Here is what a friend of the seller posted on our list...

I met a guy who has a right-hand drive Series 1 80" that is straight and
fully functional and he's looking to sell.  The truck saw service in the
military at some time and still has military aviation markings on the front
wings.  Paint looks like hell but that's half the charm of this Rover.  It
has an old Warn winch.

He is a meticulous record keeper and can tell you exactly what he has done
to the truck, how much he has spent, and how much time he spent on each
task.  I myself try to forget how much time and money I've spent on my
projects and would never document it for fear of my wife finding out.

He is asking $3500 and is willing to correspond by e-mail.  I looked the
truck over a bit more closely and as you will see in the photos it needs
some TLC, and there are some SPOTs that need to be addressed.  Most notably
are the incorrect hoops which render the fit of the top unacceptable.  The
middle hoop is galvanized conduit.  Otherwise the canvas is in good shape
but there are some things a purist will cringe at.  The truck needs very
little to make it complete and the chassis appears to be solid.  He has FIVE
new tracbar tires on the truck and it is ready to drive home.  He has
complete records of everything he has done to the truck; some 25 pages
worth.  Original shop manual is also included.

If my wife wouldn't make me sleep in the 109 I'd buy it...
