Michael lives in Victoria near Melbourne (Victoria is a state of Australia
for the Northern Hemispheric (the bump on the South East corner of the North
island (that bit of humour is for the Tasmaniacs))).
The number plates are Victorian plates, the white letters on black
background are 2 letter configurations in a range of "personalised plates"
and lots of people get their initials or something to do with the cars
abbreviation. The white letters on brown background are "Club Registration"
these are an inexpensive form of vehicle permit where you can only drive the
vehicle to recognised historic vehicle club events.
Does that make them funny? - I don't know.

One thing is clear, Michael Bishop has too much time on his hands, restoring
all these land Rovers.
I do like the white "Brides maids deflectors" installed on all fleet
participants. Same as on Camel Trophy Rovers ;-)
Funny License plates! Where does Michael live?
