John, Parts book lists 235006 as master cylinder for all 80's LHD and RHD.
I know the 86/88's have a different (but similar looking) master cylinder.
I no longer have an 86/88 parts book as it went with the L/r's when we
left UK. However British N/W list the part numbers on their web site and
suggest that this is an 86 item (google has some uses!). I guess the main
diference will be in the flange and bolt pattern (someone may correct me
here!). You could weld up and redrill the chassis mount to suit,
alternatively make up an adapter plate using ~ 1/4 steel and counter sunk
machine screws. I have seen both done to fit S2 2 bolt master cylinders to
S1's. This is the plan for my 80! If you still have the other brake cross
shaft, it would be appreciated as mating the S1 RHD lever to the 2A cross
shaft wil be a challenge! Rgds Simon
