G'Day Eric
Manuals, on eBay they come up all the time - both in hard copy and CD ROM.
There are a number of traders who do mail order of reprints of the original
volumes, including British 4x4 in the Netherlands
http://www.british4x4.nl/but can be expensive. It's a good idea to get the
parts manual appropriate for your year model, it is often more help than the
workshop manual.

G'day Allan
I've rebuilt a S111 wagon and a S11A before, just starting my first S1.
Don't
know much about S1's and all this talk is scaring me! Any idea where I can
find
a good manual for purchase or copy?

G'Day Dianna,
Had the same problem (always called them cotter pins in the bicycle
days). Definitely none available hear. I had to make a couple. Used high
tensile bolts as the source material for the pins. It is a bit fiddly
and time consuming but it got the job done. are you on good terms with a
competant machinist?
PS. The problem with being away for a couple of days is the 90 odd
emails to look at. I'll have to talk to Jeremy about getting two of
everything from the list.
Cheers
