    Hi Bob,
    May have confused you with the chassis colours and serial numbers. 
86 models refered to 1948 model year, 866 to 1949 model year, which was 
the last year that they were light green (probably). Some time in 1949, 
the "standard" colour became bronze green (tied in with a British army 
order for Land rovers) and the chassis and body were bronze green 
thereafter.
    Therefore, your 1951 model had a bronze green chassis (or at least 
it was the same colour as the body).
