There are many components that end up with you wandering about. Around here
the roads are so porly maintained that I end up zig zagging all over!

Mechanically though I would jack up the vehicle and check that all the
replacement parts have been put back correctly and tightened up as sometimes
things can get missed.
Check the tracking and the wheelbearings - did you follow the correct
procedure for adjusting end float on the hubs?
Is everything that should be greased or filled with oil greased or filled
with oil?
Is there play in the steering relay worm gear?
Are the tyre pressures correct?
Are the wheels balanced (some people say it makes no difference but my local
garage refused to let me go without balancing, and didn't charge for it).
Finally - are the road springs, spring hangers, bushes and shocks in good
condition?
Did I mention about brakes binding ?
Apart from that I can think of nothing that would affect the steering unless
the steering wheel was loose or you have a mobile phone!
