Riaan Here is what I have. (ps: You may have to piece the below links back together again.) In this pic you can see the x-shaft running along the bulkhead. http://groups.msn.com/TheSeriesOneGarage/runclerover.msnw? action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=177 Look at the top hoop for the air cleaner frame, and then past to the bulkhead. You can see a bracket with two bolts holding it on, and the x-shaft connected to it. An identical bracket mounts on the other end of the shaft. These two pics also show parts of the shaft. Sorry I don't have clearer pics. http://groups.msn.com/TheSeriesOneGarage/runclerover.msnw? action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=887 In line with the carb, there is an arm bolted to the shaft. A spring goes from the arm, down to the fuel line, settling bowl bracket. A rod goes from the bracket to the carb actuating arm. In the following pic, look at the regulator, in front of it you can see the actuating rod that connects the x-shaft to the carb. http://groups.msn.com/TheSeriesOneGarage/runclerover.msnw? action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=889 I don't have any pics of the drivers side, but an identical mounting bracket and arm are on that side. On the engine side of the gas pedal foot assembly, there is a long thin flat steel bracket mounted. One end is bolted to the top bolt of the pedal assembly and runs up along the bulkhead. A number of in line holes are drilled in the top 1/2 and a spring from the arm of the x-shaft connects to it. Connecting to lower holes adds more return pressure to the assembly. A rod from the arm on the x-shaft connects to the arm on the pedal assembly. Does that help?? I can probably get some more detailed pics posted to Runcle's page later today if you still need them. If nobody has a photo can someone desribe to where it is fitted to the firewall please. Originally I asked: In assembling the accelerator linkages I have discovered that some pieces are missing. Can someone please direct me to a photo showing where the accelerator shaft and bracket bolts onto the fire wall. I can't figure it out from the parts manual. I assume that it is similar to a RHD SIII, but that the shaft etc is shorter??? Riaan To change subscription see www.landrover.net/series1/mail
