Hey Tom,
SWMBO also had the same issue with my 80". Not only did she demand seat
belts, she has been insisting that I wear them as well. Trying to explain to
her that I WANT to be thrown clear in the event of a rollover have fallen on
deaf ears..... "Feels" safe is about as far as it goes with lap belts in an
80".
Who knows... next she'll want me to wear ear protection all the time cause of
the lovely rumble created by the resonance under the hard top.... :)

I guess i'll fit lap belts so it "feels" safe and keep the
peace. Trounle is that once belts are installed You HAVE to
wear them to avoid costly tickets, points and subsequent
insurance hikes In canada You only need belts if the were
factory fitted, so it is perfectly legal to drive the 80"
without them. My argument: tractors , schoolbuses and such
don't have belts and "You don't wear full body armour while
riding on horseback" did not have the desired effect. Dohh
