Sorry to repost, but (waiting a decent interval) for some reason a copy didn't appear in my inbox. Apologies if now two arrive! George E Sollish Chief Engineer Auto Gear Equipment Project Manager The Payne Lake Project ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Wed, 24 Nov 2004 08:33:50 -0500 (EST) From: George E Sollish <gsollish@xxxxxxxx.xxx> To: series1@xxxxxxxxx.xxx Subject: Re: SER1 NAS '05 Hi Tom B, Actually, looking at it, I can't see why I keep referring to the Petersham meet as the 'NAS' --- because 'NAA' sounds too negative, perhaps? :-) At any rate, I did some preliminary spreadsheet work and it looks like the TransLab does work in three weeks with no road marches exceeding 400 km/day if it's launched from Petersham on Sunday and runs clockwise (Baie Comeau - Labrador City - Churchill Falls - Goose Bay - Cartwright - Blanc Sablon - St Barbe - L'Anse aux Meadows - St Barbe - Blanc Sablon - Rimouski). Gives us some time for sightseeing where we likely want it most, too! Don't shift things around until I get more comfortable with the inbound (pre Goose Bay - Cartwright ferry) and outbound (post Blanc Sablon - Rimouski coaster) legs. The big problem with these affairs is always the ferries (4 on this route) and, as that works, I'm hopeful. Thanks.
