OOOps - I think I already knew the "H" stands for House (of Assembly)

It's that old Yiddish man Al Zeimers getting to my brain again!

G'Day George

Polite those Canadian Politicians are they! (I just thought I would split
my infinitives - Joda speak)

What does the "H" stand for in the "MHA"

Here in Oz our Pollies would have comments like:

"I didn't think we had any Land Rovers that old left!"
Or
"No for the opening of this world class engineering achievement which is a
demonstration of this Government's commitment to Rural and Regional
Orstraalya we will be having a tasteful ceremony which I am sure will
include a fireworks spectacular! There will be one at 9.00PM so all the
little kiddies can see it and one a Midnight for the older Orstraalyans"

Cheers
Diana

Good Afternoon!

Slightly OT but perhaps of interest to those in northeast North America.

Dear Mr. Sollish:

As the Minister of Tourism for the Province of Newfoundland and
Labrador, I am always encouraged by the great number of letters I
receive from non-residents that express and demonstrate great knowledge
and interest in our Province. It is indeed true that we have made great
progress in improving the road access to Labrador over the last six
years and are scheduled to complete the section between Happy
Valley-Goose Bay and the Cartwright junction by the Fall of 2009.

As a government, we have not made any final decisions on what
activities will take place in celebration of the completion of the road.
Your suggestion of Joey Smallwood's 1958 Series II Land Rover completing
its journey across the province is certainly worthy of serious
consideration.

In closing, I would like to wish you the best of luck with your travels
across Labrador with your 1952 Land Rover during the upcoming summer and
would certainly look forward to hearing feed back from your trip. If
you should need any assistance during your preparations or during the
journey, please do not hesitate to call my regional office in Happy
Valley-Goose Bay at 896-3209.

Sincerely,

PAUL SHELLEY, M.H.A.
Minister
