Hi Hennie,
The "academic" method is to count the teeth on the differential gears=20
and create a ratio of the smaller to the larger. The usual method is=20
to jack up the wheel. Mark a place on the drive shaft or U-joint. Spin=20=
the road wheel one revolution and see how many turns the drive shaft=20
makes. If it is a 4:7 ratio, the drive shaft will turn a little over=20=
4 1/2 times.
