A shoulder shrug is pretty much all you get in the U.S. when you're
trying to get any kind of help from a dealership or even independent
parts supplier. If the 16 year old kid behind the counter can't find
it in his computer he can't help you. Even the secondary market
suppliers don't have enough demand for Series 1 parts to keep much if
any stock. That is why this Garage is an invaluable resource for
anyone working on one of these vehicles. It is not just parts, but the
fact that someone else actually knows what you are talking about when
you ask about a part or the source for a Whitworth socket set or a
Lucas anything. Not so the average "foreign parts dealer" - read
"Toyota" , or even at a LR dealer.
