Cheers
We have to start a Series 1 Land Rover Wedding Photo Album. We have Mike
Bishop's 3 x 80" welders and now a 107 Station wagon.
Any others?
And for the blokes the photo's of the blushing bride will be optional!
Regards
Diana

Hi Diana, Mark and all,
You haven't heard of me for a while, but I have actively followed the
discussion on the list.

her wedding!
I also agree that a series one is a good choice for a wedding car and
certainly worth (reasonable) trouble. We had our 1957 107" SW as our wedding
car two and a half years ago and it indeed was the centerpiece of the whole
day - even though Land Rovers and series ones in particular are not very
well known here in Finland. In fact, my 83-year-old grandmother (who is not
at all into cars of any kind) noted that the Landy was the absolute
highlight of the ceremony.
As a nice stunt (we thought), the Landy was crank-started in the front of
the church - which, of course, took several attempts from the best man who
was used to more "modern" vehicles.
The event was very briefly featured in the Legend a couple of years ago, but
there is a picture of the Landy all "dressed up":
