Yes it can be done but if I remember correctly the Stromberg BV0U1 and BX0V2
etc fitted to Holdens are quite a tall unit and prevent the use of the
standard air filter and hoses. I believe that there was also a problem with
them flooding on steep inclines or descents - it wasn't a popular
modification with the LROC as far back as the 1970's when those carbys were
plentiful. The most popular conversion seems to be the Webber as fitted to
the Series 3 Landys, of course jetted to the 2litre motor.
I like your site and wondered what happened to that vehicle as I didn't see
the close of the auction. The panels look fairly straight and the vehicle
is complete, sans roof. Did the vendor give you the other bulkhead or is
that part of the current one repairable?
Will watch the site and progress with interest. If there is any help you
need with finding parts etc, I am sure we can point you in the right
direction. Will even answer emails off list if you want.
Are you in Queensland or NSW?
Cheers

interesting.

This is strange Rob I get the same problem with the download
site, however if you go the folder
http://bf2forums.hopto.org/files/landrover1953/ you then get a
directory of files from which you can open the individual jpg files.
Have no idea what Alex wants us to do with the knowledge - I guess its
just to confirm the modification. Cheers Diana ----- Original Message
