Ben Pooley wrote <<I hope it will be available for N. American system.>> Ben, I'm acutely aware that potential sales are worldwide, and I mustn't disappoint NTSC-area enthusiasts. Trouble is, this is a grey area - most PAL players and TVs will handle NTSC, but the other way round is less common. I've posted queries to world-wide video production websites (and even bent Tom Bache's ear!), but I get back as many opinions as answers. It would seem that it's most likely that a modern NTSC player will handle a PAL disc, but it's not guaranteed. The older the player, the more likely it is to give problems... but some people have found it the other way round! In theory all PCs should be able to play DVDs of whatever system (and we're not talking about region codes here - mine will be 'regionless'). One guy on the video production forum even took a commercial PAL DVD into his local Wal-Mart for me, and tried it in a number of the machines on display - he found that there was no correlation between manufacturer or price of machine and its ability to handle PAL. I'm facing the same problem with a trio of tourist souvenir videos of the North York Moors on VHS that my late sheepdog starred in (don't ask!) - I'm producing an omnibus 2-DVD set for Christmas, and will have to solve the same dilemma. What I'll probably do is get the mass duplication done in PAL, but get an NTSC master made that I can burn to order for any customers who have problems. These things are never as simple as they seem!
