Diana,
these thousands of units seem to be relatively far away.... And to have it
shipped with the axle attached is a bit pricey. Since having changed jobs, I
lost all possibilities to make something like that myself. It would not have
been an obstacle to loose one part that is simple to reproduce on a lathe,
but nowadays it proves to be a Mount Everest.

The part you refer to, 07295 the sleeve for oil seal does not need to be
new. You should be able to salvage one from any semi floating axle. There
must be thousands of second hand units in the U.K. and Europe but you may
have to get the axle with it. I know that I have some complete rear ends
160Km down the coast from where I am today but it is a long way from
Germany, there must be some closer to you than me.
If you don't have any luck I will have a look and may have to disassemble a
retired axle casing or talk to some other friends.
