Guess I deserved it. But it was too tempting to pass up.
I reviewed my message (which I created over a 45 minute plus time period
while doing additional testing and suffering several interruptions) and
see I typed the wrong stuff. %Size is a "HASH" and in the TT book I've
seen it processed using $Size and \%Size.
I knew I had done this before and when I re-discovered the code I see
the two main differences are; the working one is on a Win2K server and
the process call is in-line (small, simple script done quick-and-dirty)
whereas this one is on a Linux box and the process call is in a
subroutine.
Taking your suggestion and looking at the error message again I see
$Size is a SCALAR when I actually mis-thought it was reference to %Size --
automagically. Whack goes the clue-stick. Thanks.
