I think we are going to have to see some code to be able to move
forward.  Is it possible that you are creating a closure around the
template object?  Are you running your code under Apache::Registry? 
If so, try running it under Apache::PerlRun instead to see if the same
thing happens.

Try to reduce the problem to the smallest bit of code and post it here
and hopefully someone will spot a problem.
