I'm not sure switching to blessed() is worth the effort or the almost
imperceptible decrease in speed, but, if you do create a patch, be sure to
call blessed() as Scalar::Util::blessed() rather than importing blessed()
into the CDBI namespace. If you do the latter, then there's a possible
collision with a user-created accessor for a field named blessed. I know that
seems unlikely, but it's best avoided if possible. We encountered this issue
with first()...
