Perhaps the first line under the heading "Many to Many Relationships" in
the Class::DBI docs should be a clue here:

"Class::DBI does not currently support Many to Many relationships, per
se."

Feel free to improve it.  Maybe you can add some work to Matt's code.
That would be easy to bundle with Class::DBI when it's complete.
