Hi Jon,

although not the dashboard civiian version of the Pye, we do have a scan of 
the mobile radio set (receiver/transmitter) brochure for Land Rover in the 
Garage. See it here:

This is a clue though - Pye likely had ties with Rover. Have you thought of 
asking any of the Rover car clubs/web sites. There's a chance that the 
saloons used the same unit as the 4x4.

I have been interested and tried also to contact members of vintage radio
clubs in the UK , but without any result.
Still interested , though ( and , apparently, it was a Pye )

Hi all

A couple of months back there was some discussion about the optional
radio fitted to series ones.  Browsing through the Misc options in my
parts book i noticed it again.  At the time this was thought to be a
PYE.   Did anyone find out any further details or pictures.
