Carlo,
I think your bits are just substitutes that got fitted later. The same
bits were used from the 30's to the 50's by Rover for the Solex carbs.
Nick.

Subject: SER1 1600cc carburettor
Hi everybody,
while dismantling a 1600 cc Solex of my 80" of '51, I have noticed that
, despite carrying the same part number as for the 2000 cc carburettor,
the "special bolt for union" (LR part nr. 260167 ) that fits into the
"banjo union" on the top cover of the carburettor, was an iron bolt (not
copper as it normally is ), shorter than usual and slightly smaller in
diameter and with just 1 hole in its body (instead of 2 as usual); also
the "banjo union" had a rounder shape, rather than the truncated cone
shape I have always seen ; the "filter gauze" was also missing. Any
ideas ?
Many thanks
carlo
