Put on a set of 88" Rocky Mountain parabolics. They are worth the cost
and greatly improve the ride. Had a set on my 80" for 4 years now and
love 'em.

Peter,

I have same problem over springs for my 80 down here in Texas.

I know Tony Arnold at LR fastners does them also Craddocks may do so,

Dunsfold don't have any.

If you want to go the second hand route Stafford Dovey of Red
Dragon Restorations may be able to help.

Problem with all of these is shipping costs will exceed the
cost of springs

I was thinking of contacting one of the US custom spring
manufacturers, there are several with web sites who will make to order.

If you try any before I do let me know costs etc.

Maybe they will do cheaper for 4 rather than 2?

If you want to fit series 2 springs they will not fit the axles
as the locating dowels are different sizes, I ran into this
problem trying to fit series 2 springs to an 88 inch series 1.
Had to get new dowels made up which negated the savings on
series 2 springs!

Spring rates and cambers are significantly different for 80's
than 86 or 88s, not sure about free length as I can't find the spec.

Rgds

Simon

Sorry don't know about "Dingocroft (UK)" but the people who
deal in Series 1 parts have them. For instance LRFasteners
have them @ £45 each, more than 88" but you do need to buy
quality or they won't last. A proper Land Rover dealer should
be able to tell you the suitable replacement. If it is the
88", it would probably be a pair of one or the other rather
than ending up with the slightly higher driver's side. Problem
might also be with cost of transporting such heavy items.

Answer might be to look at parabolic as someone is about to /
has produced them in the narrow form.

Tom.
