I have take the unit apart and cannot see how the cable is attached to the pull-knob? I found in my workshop an old Series III diesel stop cable, that appears to have a roll pin holding the cable in place, on the SI the cable is a solid wire and there appears to be no roll pin in the hole!! So am I right in saying that the mixture control (choke) cable is not a cable but a solid wire held in place in the pull-knob by a small roll pin? I hope this make some sense, and hope some one can help as the part is no longer available!
