Hi Nick     Interesting.  All the CW1's I have opened  have a 150 degree 
swipe, and all CWX's I have opened have a 130 degree swipe. This is what led 
me to the conclusion that this was the difference.  Apart from the 
difference in the gearing, internally they appear to be  identical. I have 
never come across any CW1 windscreen wiper motors other than 150 degree 
ones.   Regards   Marco
