Hi Martin,

With winter approaching and no time to investigate I took the TT to my
Rover mechanic and, of the four problems I wanted him to look at, the oil
leak at the engine rear and the seized low range lever had fixed
themselves.  Re the low range (which I had been afraid to touch since it
took 45 minutes to clear in August) I can only assume that clearing it
then freed the bind.  That or I'm getting old and I'm just dreaming it
all.
