HI William,

you're the man we have been waiting for - WE DO NEED A FAQ/ARCHIVE server. 
Years ago it was managed by Tomi but he lost access to storage.

Can you assume this role for us?

dear s1,

most of the questions I want to ask here are of such mind-bending 
obviousness that I am too embarrassed to do so and mostly just lurk. I 
therefore wonder whether there is a FAQ, official or otherwise, for this 
list?

If not, I would be happy to create and maintain one, if people were prepared 
to help me fill it.

(I'm a programmer and web developer, so this would be very straightforward 
for me. Unlike fixing my brakes.)
