Hi Alyn,

Sorry I did not make that too clear, but I think I will stick with the
shackles I have, or order new if I have problems getting them off.

Hi Alyn,

Thanks for the kind offer of the 86 shackles. I was looking on John
Craddocks web site and he has shackles and bolts etc listed, with
numbers that tie up with the Series One parts catalogue, so I am
wondering if the shackles on my 88 are the same as the S3 items?
http://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/ then go to New Parts, select Series
One and then suspension.  I think my question has been answered
though,
and I should have a nut as well as the threaded (tapped) shackle
plate.
