Anthony,
Actually Marble Bar in Western Australia is recognized as the hottest town in
Australia by the Guinness Book of Records. For 161 consecutive days to 20 April 1924
the temperature in the town never dropped below 100°F (37.8°C).
Regards Craig Murray.
P.S. It is currently 11 degrees C in Melbourne, and expected to get to 18. Although
on Saturday it is meant to get to 26.
