I'll always remember Cooma as we were driving through NSW, it was getting
quite late & we were looking for somewhere to stay the night. Rosemary found a
place called Kiandra on the map, bound to be somewhere there, we thought. When
we got there we found it was a ghost town !! Had to either sleep in the
car or backtrack all the way to Cooma, which we did, staying at a motel called
the Happy Man, I think - anyway, they had a pet wallaby with whom our (then) 4
year old daughter made good friends.
I'm sure all the Land Rover exporting ships will be far too full bringing
Mitsubishis and the like back to the UK. Oh, and Monaros, the sporty one's
quite highly rated here in the UK, though I've yet to see one.
