--=====================_629806533==.ALT Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed Posted on the LRX web site www.lrx.com $3000 for a lights behind grill. 1950 Series One 80'' LHD This is a decent 1950 Series One 80'' looking for a good home. The body work is fairly straight with some wrinkles. The original engine does run with a siphon of fuel to the carburetor. The bulkhead has some rust at the bottom of the door posts inside and around the steering box mounting area and in the same area on the right side. Also a hole cut in it to get at the starter I assume (not by me!) but is repairable. It is missing one 'D' tail light and the seats. The canvas top is not the best on top but is repairable. It comes with 6 Michelin 6.50X16 XCL tires still in decent shape 5 are mounted on rims. The paint is not original and the galvanising has been painted over in hammerite. The gas tank is rusty and the windshield glass is cracked as well. The gauges will need to be replaced and the wiper motor is not correct. I have not tried to glorify the condition of this Land Rover in any way but it is 55 years old and it does need to be restored and I feel it would be an excellent basis for a restoration and it comes with a true clear title. Please e-mail me if you are interested and have any questions and I will do my best to answer them. I can e-mail more photos too if you are interested. Winter storage and spring pick-up can be arranged no problem. Thanks for looking! Andrew Finlayson <dcaf@xxxxx.xx> Ottawa, Ontario, Canada - 30 January 2005 Regards. Tom Wykes.
