As part of the galvanizing process Your chassis would be "pickled" in a bath
of hot sulfuric(I think) acid in order to remove/desolve all rust, mill
scale and any other matter that would prevent the zink from adhering. Unless
Your chassis is filled with dirt there should not be a problem. it helps to
enlarge the drain holes at the bottom of the chassis and the placement of
vents (5/16" holes) at the top.

Haven't decided on the galv dipping yet. It will depend a lot on if I can
get
the crud and rust scale out of the chassis rails before taking it there.
