Hi Graham
I have always found with starter motors, it is best to get a nice shiny new
exchange one from the Lucas Dealer. Trying to rebuild one either yourself or
down the local auto electricians even if they have the facilities is a waste
of time. I had one rebuilt locally with a new armature etc but it still kept
failing within 3 months.
