Alyn-

I used a tool that Dunsfold was selling for a while that was basically what
Mark described, but it was mounted to what was a screw driver handle. I
then used dish soap as lubricant and I did all my windows on my 107SW in
about an hour. That's 6 windows! It was so dang easy, I thought maybe I
was doing something wrong because I don't think there was a single step in
the rebuild that was so easy....except for parting with cash to buy
parts! :)

To really answer your question, I think I had the tropical roof off at the
time. I did take out all the rivets to separate the roof lines. I was
painting at the time, so pulling things a part really made sense. That did
make it easier to get to the Alpine window. You may be able to gently pull
the tropical roof away from the Alpine widow and hold it out of the way with
some wood wedges or something friendly to the paint.

Good luck.
