Welcome Karen
You'll have to post some pics of Kirbie on the Series One Garage (
http://groups.msn.com/TheSeriesOneGarage ) so we can all see him. Then
you'll have to keep us updated as the restoration progresses.
Cheers from Down Under

Subject: SER1 Introduction
Hi all:
By way of introduction, I have just purchased an original condition North
American spec 1951 Series 1 80 Land Rover. I intend to restore the truck to
nice usable condition, as it appear to have all it's original parts, though
it has been sitting behind a barn since 1978. I have been reading your
postings with great interest as I am looking for suggestions on sources for
parts and solutions to technical issues. I appreciate meeting all of you
and the fact that such a list exists as it is a good resource for thiose of
us who are new to Series 1 ownership (though I have a few other Land Rovers
already).
