I've been contacted via my SXF website by an 80" owner who's discovered
a Brockhouse Cable Layer trailer still in use by a local fire station.
From the pic he's sent me it looks in fine condition, although he's not
been able to examine the tub bottom "because it's full of leaves" (which
is an ominous sign!) It still has the stick frame that carried the
cable reels etc.

The firemen are wavering about selling it, and he (with no firm idea of
what it's worth) has offered them UKP350. He's asked me if that's a
fair price.

I have no idea at all, apart from a gut feeling that whatever the tub
condition he'd have a good bargain at that price. Anyone in the UK any
thoughts?
