Dear Ulrico,
C&C parts in the Netherlands can do the job Diana discribes. They charge
Euro 100.

are you talking of a standard procedure, meaning there is some sort of kit
available to do this?
If you had this done, how much did you pay for the service?

You can also have the master cylinder and piston re-sleeved in stainless
which maked them much more durable. Most importantly still the original
part so no modification of the mounting, shafts or pipes.
Your local brake service should be able to arrange it.
