Hi Gang,

I have to renew the rear output oil seal at the gearbox. To get it out, I must take off the complete housing assembly for speedometer pinion, because it was one of the old seals, the strong metal ring with cork inside. Now it´s a new rubber one. I cleaned everything, incl. the 4 shims in different thickness and rebuild it very clean and proper in the same rank. But now a little bit EP90 sweats through the shims.

What can I do ? Open again and give a little bit silicon between the shims ? New shims ? The "old " ones look very new, rustfree ,no dimples, scratches, corners.

Until it will not drop constantly I´ll ignore the "leak". But I will be prepared for the day X .

Greetings from sunny Germany
