Hi gang

I have finally started work on getting my 1949 80" up and running. I have had the chassis and firewall welded and painted, and now want to keep the momentum going. The chap who fixed the chassis & firewall has suggested that the next area for attention should be the springs, followed by the axles.

He has suggested that I should get the springs reset (as per the workshop manual). The steps I am thinking of taking are:
 - take the leaves apart
 - pick the best of each leaf (I have two sets one from the 1949 and the other from my early 1950)
 - sandblast the leaves
 - paint each leaf with "cold-galve"
 - get an expert to reset them.
 - once reset I should then paint each complete unit black.

Does this shound like a good approach?

Thanks
